These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our booking services, website, and software. By booking a journey with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
“We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Autocab Private Hire LTD
“You”, “Your”, “User” refers to the person making a booking via our website, app, or software
“Driver” refers to the driver assigned to complete your journey
“Service” refers to the private hire booking services provided by us
“As Directed” refers to a journey where no destination is specified at the time of booking
All software, data, content, and information provided by us remain our property and are considered confidential.
You agree that:
The software will only be used for its intended purpose
No part of the software or its content will be copied, modified, distributed, or shared with third parties
You will not attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the system
We do not guarantee that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate, nor that it will meet your individual requirements.
By using our services, you confirm that:
You have the legal authority to enter into this agreement
All information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date
You are financially responsible for all bookings made using your account, including those made by household members, colleagues, or third parties where you permit access
Any payment method used belongs to you or you have authority to use it
You agree to indemnify us against any losses arising from breaches of these warranties.
You must be registered to use our services
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials
We are not liable for unauthorised bookings made using your account
You are responsible for all bookings and charges associated with your account
If we reasonably believe your account is being misused, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate it without notice.
You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to:
Introducing viruses or malicious code
Attempting unauthorised access to systems or databases
Misusing the service for fraudulent or abusive purposes
We may provide either estimated fares or fixed fares.
Estimated fares are mileage and time based and may change due to:
Waiting time
Route changes or deviations
Changes to destination or via points
Traffic, roadworks, or driver-recommended alternative routes
Fixed fares apply only to the journey as booked. Additional charges may apply where:
The journey is altered
Waiting time is incurred
Tolls, parking, or congestion charges apply
Vehicle cleaning is required following the journey
All quotations are based on current pricing and are only valid at the time they are issued.
For cash bookings, payment is made directly to the driver upon completion of the journey unless the booking is cancelled.
Card payments are normally taken after completion of the journey
We may place a pre-authorisation on your card before the journey begins
The final charged amount may differ from any pre-authorised amount
You authorise us to charge your selected payment method for:
The final journey fare
Any applicable additional charges, including waiting time, route changes, tolls, parking fees, or cleaning charges
Cancellation fees apply to both cash and card bookings.
You may be charged a cancellation fee if:
You cancel more than 5 minutes after a driver accepts the booking
You cancel after the driver arrives at the pick-up location
You fail to attend the pick-up location (“no show”)
We cancel after a driver has waited more than 5 minutes at the pick-up location
Cancellation fees:
£3.90 for Car bookings
£6.90 for Minibus bookings
Where applicable, the App will notify you before you confirm cancellation.
As payment is normally taken after journey completion, refunds are generally not provided once a service has been delivered.
If you have a complaint regarding a journey, you must contact us using the contact details provided in the App or on our website so we can investigate.
If you dispute a payment or initiate a chargeback without first contacting us:
We may suspend or terminate your account
We may recover any chargeback or administration fees incurred
We reserve the right to provide journey data, GPS logs, and booking records to payment processors or card issuers
If a chargeback is resolved in our favour, you agree to reimburse us for any associated costs.
You may be invited to rate your journey. Ratings or comments that are obscene, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or malicious will be removed and may result in account suspension.
Drivers providing journeys are typically self-employed and provide services booked through our platform. We act as a booking and payment facilitator.
While we take reasonable steps to ensure drivers are appropriately licensed, we are not responsible for driver actions beyond our legal obligations.
By using our services, you consent to receive communications electronically, including:
Emails
App notifications
Service-related messages and promotions
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be communicated via the App or our website. Continued use of the service confirms acceptance of the updated terms.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK legislation.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
